Two new things in my life after this saturday.
1. I have new shoes, which are roundy (very important), support my feet (even more important) and environmental friendly (the most important)

2. Dante has a new hair cut. So I have a little chicken instead of cockerspaniel at home again. He seems to be happy. I guess it was very warm for him in these summer days. It took me some time to cut his hair but it was worth it. A very patient german guy talking to Dante constantly was also of a great help. Now Dante is sleeping peacefully on my sofa. So soft he is. And so happy I am!!!

So the first third of the traveling is behind me. Iceland and Stockholm.
On Iceland there were many moments when I just told to myself: "This is something for my blog" Now when sitting here in Örebro after spending another week in Stockholm with great and interesting people from different corners of the world, I do not know what to write first or whether to write at all but Iceland was so great that it deserves some words:
We were welcomed by unexpectedly warm weather (+12) and a rainbow. Very strong colours. Right after that the real Icelandic weather showed its face. Rain rain and rain. Soft, or strong accompanied by wind. To write about nature is really not difficult. It is lava and smell of sulfid all over. We also got a present - 2 hours extra so our day lasted 26 hours. U know how u sometimes wish for longer days. Yes..my wish came true =) Our guide on Iceland was Adelstein. This guy really knows how not to stress. He takes life very easy. Every day with him brought at least one joke. So instead of writing about my days I will publish some of the jokes or statements and pictures of that beautiful place.

a) There are no trees on Iceland and if there are any, they are very small. So the question is: What to do when you get lost in Icelandic forrest? (the answer is on the bottom of this entryl)

b) What is the difference between summer and winter on Iceland?

c) We visited a great place owned by IOGT Iceland. It is a huge camping area right under the vulcano Hekla. Hekla is very active. Latest time it errupted in 2001. So I asked Adelstein whether it is practical to own such place. so close to the danger. One never knows whether it will exist the next day. His answer came very fast. "It is OK. We will be the first who will know that it is coming"

Yeah..that´s it. He takes life very easy =)

Some people see the world from this perspective! I think there is nothing more to say.

I am with my mom at this picture. She would not be happy if she knew I published it. So psssst. She in general does not like publicity ;-) She looks very strict on the picture but I can tell you, she is not like that =)
Since next sunday is mother´s day according to the swedish calendar and we, in Slovakia, already had mother´s day the second sunday of May I can use this opportunity to write what i appreciate about my mom and what I am thankful for:

- the way  she cools my tea in the mornings when I am at home in Slovakia
- the way she listens to me
- that she knows what to say and when to say it when I do not feel good
- that she remembers names of my friends
- that she remembers places and times I have been to
- that she knows what kind of clothes I like
- that she sometimes forces me to do things when i am lazy or not willing to do them
- that she has no doubts about me
- that she never gives up
- that she has done everything to make me feel safe
- that she never expected me to do smth nice back but she was always very happy when I did
- the moments when she was just next to me when she could not help in other way
- that she loves my father =)
- that she wants to improve herself, things around her etc

And there is so much more!

I have been missing this space on web so much. I have been missing logging in and pushing the button: "New entry" and now it feels so nice. I haven´t written anything meanigful yet but it already feels good to be here.

Yes I took a break from blogging for several reasons.
1. My internet at home is not working
2. I would blog about things not "politically correct" due to my position at work and this I dont want
3. I did not have time ( This weekend was my first totally free weekend  - meaning both days free - since 24th of March 2007) To clarify things - I am not complaining. All those days were very giving.

What i would have written about if I had time then would be:
1. Gender equality thoughts inspired by FInish parliament
2. UNF
3. My mom
4. Meeting Sveta
5. Thoughts after Active board meeting

I wrote those things down here cause I really want to blog about them and I believe that having this published will force me to come back to them.

And of course i will blog about the weekend which was GREAT!
Saturday was lazy lazy lazy day - sleeping, walking Dante, reading, spleeping, walking Dante,watching some Friends episodes and sleeping again.
Sunday was mostly about being outside. First three hours walk with Dante (the pics will come) who made me really laugh when he decided to drink from a fontaine. That fact itself is not very funny I know. Additional part is that after the first contact with the water, he jumped into it and cooled himself down at the same time he was drinking. Was so cute. He repeated this some hours later when we were outside again. So I consider it his new way of drinking. After the walk we went home for a while to prepare a small cake and then we went off again together with Maja, Maik and Tiina to Andreas to have a barbecue. The idea came very spontaneously. We kicked a bit football (I did not know I liked football but i do) and played Kubb ( a swedish game). You can guess (once) whose team won both times ;-) After that I came home and instead of watching a movie I had planned to watch I went rollerskating and just started "evening rollerskating season" - after 21.00, no people, no wind, still light, good music. Great way to relax!

So yes! Now I feel I have recharged my battery again =)

Some minutes left untill I´ll leave from Svendborg. I am sitting in a very comfortable armchair, writing emails, listening to my neighbour playing guitare. Right now: "You were always on my mind". I like this moment very much! Great way to start a day! I think I would like this guy to be my neighbour in general. He is really good!

I am sitting at a hotel in Svendborg i Denmark. IOGT Denmark has a congress here tomorrow. I am preparing my speech and enjoying being on my own for a while. Recent days have been full of happening so coming to this wonderful place is just as a balsam for my soul.
The congress starts at 14.00 tomorrow so untill then I will enjoy the beauty of nature around me. I really regret that I don´t have my camera with me. But I can try to do my best with the mobile phone.



I also like the people here. They speak a very strange language ;-) but they are very nice to me. So now I gonna think what kind of message I am going to deliver tomorrow. Will come back to you with that!

Oooh..I haven´t written here for such a long time. I just realized it when I had problems with remembering my password to log in.
I have been missing writing blogs. I was very busy. Abroad, having people visiting me..and then I also chose living a bit more active life when it comes to sport. So instead of sitting at the computer and writing blogs about all the possible things I play volleyball or walk outside with Dante. But as I missed sport and motion when I was studying and writing the thesis, now I miss writing. So here we go. I am back on track =)
