The world has started spinnin the other direction..

Can anybody explain me what is happening? Extreme right wing has got back to the slovak parliament, they are getting votes in Germany and they got into some regional parliaments in Sweden. What is happening? Are people tired of diversity and tolerance? Are some peaceful days enough and now we need some "excitement" again? What are we afraid of when we close the door for understanding and solidarity? Variety?
I really do not understand.
But one thing is clear. I just have more energy to work for world without borders where humans appreciate each other, care about each other and their surrounding...
And I am sure I am not the only one!!!

we have to do smth against people being passive and believing the lies spread by the right extremes. as ole told in his blog on active site, young people mostly voted for them in germany. we have to activate these young people to become a part of world, of europe, of other environment.. we have to give them an alternative, show them that they can think on their own and that other solutions are possible.

On the other hand, Kika, look at the situation in Hungary. There is some strong evidence (a record) of the left-wing prime minister of Hungary saying that he deliberately lied to his voters about the economic situation of the country in order to get to power again. And this started an awful outburst of civil conflicts in the capital. This is just incredible! I can't believe that the worst criminals get voted to the parliaments in some countries! The voters should watch out before they give their votes to someone, and not do it just at random. Every single valid vote is just too important and precious. Or see the case in Slovakia. Again, the current prime minister deliberately mislead his voters to get to power (what a regular repetition!)by not stating clearly that he viewed the Slovak Nationalist Party as a good potential political partner. And then his voters got a shock when they saw that the SNP got to the government. It's sure that there is something wrong with many politicians. But even worse, also with the voters, which just leads to the failure of any democratic system!

Yes..I agree. The problem are not the political parties themselves - they have right to exist. The problem is that people should get some basic political literacy (or how to call it), be interested in elections and be aware of what their vote can do. There are many voting just for fun, at random etc. Unfortunately I do not know what to do about politicians who lie the voters. I think there could be neutral institutions observing and verifying the "facts" in very proper way.
